Alito Letter To Dobson, Less Than Meets The Eye
Max Blumenthal at Huffington Post and Andrew Sullivan claim to have found a smoking gun connecting recently appointed Supreme Court Justice Alito to James Dobson's odious Focus On The Family operation.
But a dispassionate reading of the letter reveals only a man grateful for support during a time of distress for himself and his family and a man, perish the thought, who believes in the efficacy of prayer. More importantly, we don't know that Alito didn't write many similar notes to other, less controversial, supporters as well.
So far, all we know is that Alito is guilty of felonious good manners. I think everyone needs to relax and wait until we start to see some rulings from the guy...then we can pounce on him.
